GroupBuy turns that real logistics saving into a transparent, tiered discount instead of an arbitrary loss-leader.
It’s also designed so the discount only ever reflects genuine commitment: the tier your estate reaches only counts neighbours who’ve actually secured their spot with a deposit, not just people who tapped a link. If your estate doesn’t reach its target by the deadline, nobody is short-changed — the deal simply closes and any deposit is refunded.

Open the GroupBuy bot on Telegram and tell it your unit number — a private 1-on-1 chat, never a group.
3. Watch the discount grow
The bot shows you live: how many neighbours have joined, your current tier, and the countdown to deadline.
4. Share your invite link
Every participant gets a personal referral link to send neighbours directly — no group needed there either.
5. Deal locks in
Once enough neighbours have secured their spot, the discount locks in and we schedule everyone’s inspections together.
6. Everyone benefits

Do I need to create a Telegram group with my neighbours?
No — that's the whole point. Everyone talks to the same DefectsGuru GroupBuy bot one-on-one in a private chat. Nobody has to create, own or moderate a group, and no unit's address or number is ever posted publicly.
My estate isn't showing a GroupBuy yet — what do I do?
We currently open a GroupBuy estate-by-estate as residents express interest, so not every block has one running yet. Message us on WhatsApp and we'll help you get one started for your block.
What happens if we don't reach the target number of neighbours?
The GroupBuy simply closes at its deadline with no group discount applied, and any deposit is refunded — you can still book solo at the standard online price at any time. We'd rather be upfront about a deal not forming than water down the discount for everyone.
How does the referral discount work?
Every neighbour who joins through your personal invite link and completes their inspection gets you $5 off your own invoice — on top of the shared group discount you both already get. It unlocks once their inspection is actually done, not just when they sign up.
Is my unit address shared with other neighbours?
No. We only ask for your unit/block number to confirm you're a genuine resident of the estate and to prevent one unit joining twice. It's never shown to other participants — the bot only ever shares aggregate counts and the current discount tier.
Do I still get the online booking discount on top of the group discount?
Yes — the GroupBuy discount stacks on top of the existing 10% online booking discount, not instead of it.
